The 2020 CENSUS
CSTO strongly believes that all MA residents deserve to be and should be counted in the 2020
Census. The Census is a survey of the United States population that helps distribute critical resources
and funding to Massachusetts. Completing the Census is safe, easy, quick, and a
civic obligation. The Census generally takes 15 minutes to complete!
To support the Castle Square community, CSTO has established a Census Access Hotline (617-804-6026) where residents
can call and receive support over the phone.

If you do not have access to a computer or Internet, another quick and easy way to complete the
questionnaire is to call the Census Hotline and Census staff will help you answer the Census questions
over the phone. The hotline is available 7 days a week in many languages including:

What Does The Census Fund?
Planning and Funding for Employment and Training
Including programs for food stamps (SNAP), vocational rehabilitation state grants, dislocated workers, and American Indian and Alaska Native employment and training.



Healthcare
Including programs such as Medicaid, Medicare Part B, State Children’s Health Insurance, and the prevention and treatment of substance abuse.



Infrastructure
Including programs for highway planning and construction, Section 8 housing, federal transit, community development, parks, and rural water and waste disposal systems.



Education
Including programs such as Head Start, Pell Grants, school lunches, rural education, adult education, and grants for preschool special education.
