Over the year, Square Tech teen interns learned entrepreneurial skills through an ongoing Business Workshop. The teens worked together to create and pitch a business plan, and establish a budget and location for their business. Once these details were approved, they created committees that included: marketing, budget, web design, logo design and tracking customers.
The mock-up business created by the teens is called “The Access Point (T.A.P.), a youth driven small business offering technical services. The idea is to have teen interns teach (primarily seniors) the basics of navigating and using iPads, tablets, Internet essentials and safety, Gmail, Apple and Android devices.
