Square Tech Awarded Boston’s First Digital Equity Fund Grant
March 26, 2018
Mayor Walsh announced in February that CSTO was the recipient of a $35,000 grant from the City of Boston Digital Equity Fund. The Digital Equity Fund, created in October, aims to provide support to community-based organizations that help Boston residents fully connect and participate in today's media and information landscape. "A more connected Boston is a more equitable City, a more innovative City and a more prosperous City," said Mayor Walsh. "We’re excited to award this grant to a program that will help our residents grow their digital skills while increasing access to information."
CSTO will use the funding to expand the Square Tech Computer Repair and Training Center. More information on the digital equity grant can be found on the City of Boston's website and in an article by a local journalist. To learn more about Square Tech, click on the “Programs” at the top of the page.
