On May 16, 2018, Castle Square Tenants Organization’s Roof Deck and Community Room radiated with good will and common purpose as more than 100 guests gathered to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary. The event, which raised more than $200,000 for CSTO’s direct service youth programs, was a celebration of CSTO’s past and a look toward the future.
Attendees reflected CSTO’s philosophy that strength lies in diversity and included current and former CSTO staff, Castle Square residents, representatives from longtime partner WinnDevelopment, and many government, community and business leaders. Guests sipped “Castletinis” while listening to jazz music from the Zumix Jazz All Stars. Master of Ceremonies Jay Rose of Greater Boston Legal Services moderated a lively program which featured City Councilors Ed Flynn and Anissa George, Leadership Committee Chair Larry Curtis, Arthur Winn and CSTO Co Founders, Executive Director Deborah Backus and Chairman of the Board Ann Moy. CSTO’s entire tenant lead Board of Directors gathered on the stage to receive a ceremonial check from Presenting Sponsor New Boston Ventures.
